On his actual birthday Andy went to work and Ellie and I went out to breakfast at the Belgian Waffle House and Pancake Inn. It has really good food for a good price. It was nice to spend time with Ellie and talk about Thomas and how it was his birthday. Afterwards we went up to Silver Lake and walked around and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains.
While Ellie was taking a nap, I made a cake and pondered how different his birthday feels this year compared to last years. Its hard to put into words, so I don't think I will.
When Andy got off we went to dinner and enjoyed being together as a family. We came home and sang happy birthday and had a slice of cake to remember our sweet baby.
Saturday we went and visited Thomas's grave and left some decorations, and then we went to the Curiosity Museum. Ellie LOVED it, and I think Thomas would have too.
I don't know who had more fun in the water section |
On our way home we were all hot, and thirsty, and so a slurpee stop had to happen.
We love our sweet Thomas so much and are so grateful for the plan of salvation that means we can be with him again, and get the chance to raise our son.
Tami, I'm so glad you guys do something special that he would enjoy every year. The eternities are going to be the best :)
