4th of July weekend

We had a great weekend for the 4th.  We went up to Logan to visit Andy's sister and celebrate her birthday on the 3rd.

We went swimming, ate pizza, took naps, jumped on the trampoline, had amazing Hawaiian food for dinner and watched the big firework show.

We got home really late that night, and Ellie was cranky when we had to wake her up to go to the ward 4th of July breakfast the next morning.  She was so cranky that when we got home, she went back to bed until 11 and got up in a much better mood.

Later we went swimming for about 15 minutes before some kid pooped in the pool and they had to close the pool.  Thankfully we got our money back.  Instead we went home and had our annual viewing of Independence Day.  Ellie declared at the end of the movie that "those were bad octopuses' Mommy."

When it cooled off a bit we went on small hike up the canyon to a waterfall.  Ellie was in her element with rocks, dirt, and water.  We finished off the night with a little firework show in front of the house.

Everyone was pretty exhausted by the end of the night we were all in bed by 10, so basically party animals.
