Things are getting better

Things have been going really good lately.  I have not felt this good since before Thomas.  I still miss him, obviously, but I feel like I've come out of the dark fog that has been apart of my life this last year.  That's not to say I still won't burst into tears over something that reminds me of Thomas, but it doesn't happen nearly as easily anymore.
We have been really enjoying our time as a family.  We went to temple square and looked around, and we went hiking up to Cecret Lake.

They are already putting up Christmas lights on Temple Square

Ellie was tired, so I gave her a lift on our hike

We made it!

I doubt you can see, but the little white dot on the top is Andy!

A chipmunk made off with Ellie's sandwich while she wasn't looking

Ellie stood on this rock and then told me to take her picture, this is the face that she made.
The trees are starting to change and it makes me so happy!

Last night we went to Scheels and rode the Ferris wheel for the first time!  Ellie is finally tall enough for it!

We could not get a good group shot on the ferris wheel

We are overflowing with pumpkins right now.  I planted 3 varieties this spring and we have a ton!  I've spray painted, and glazed them.  Made pumpkin turnovers, and been giving away bag fulls, and we still have more to harvest sometime in the next 2 weeks!

  1. I'm happy you're doing well! Pumpkins seem like a fun thing to grow, we'll have to try it next year.

  2. First off, I'm so glad that things are looking up and you're feeling better!! That seriously makes me so happy! :) Also you guys are always doing fun hikes and fun stuff in Utah, that's so good. I feel like people will complain where they live saying how boring it is, but it's usually because they don't get out and do stuff. And you guys do! Last thing, that's so cool about your pumpkins and I want to try a pumpkin turnover, sounds great!
