Free Day at the Zoo

I'm always on the lookout for free activities, and I found out the zoo is free the last Wednesday of the month November through March.  The morning was overcast and it was raining off and on in different areas, but I decided we were going to go anyway.

I was expecting a big crowd, but it wasn't very busy, and the animals were all out and active, which surprised me since it is January.

 

She did not appreciate the smell of the bird/reptile house

 I love spending one on one time with Ellie, which frankly I do everyday, but its even more fun when we can go and do things like this.
