Summertime Adventures

The last few weeks have been really fun for us.  We've been going up into the canyon's a lot to escape the heat of the valley, and it has been wonderful!  For FHE 2 weeks ago we went up to Snowbird Resort and played Jurassic Park pinball, had a picnic and went swimming.  Afterwards we drove up a little more to Albion Basin because we had heard the wild flowers were in bloom.  It was lovely.

Ellie has a bad habit now of looking down instead of at the camera

Last week we went down to Bridal Veil Falls.  It was the first time I had been there.  I've driven past it a few times, but never stopped.  We looked at the fish and then took the trail up to the lower falls.

There is this dilapidated building at bottom of the falls that honestly is the type of building that we, especially Andy like to go exploring in.  However, this sign was pretty clear that shouldn't go in, drat the Provo Parks Department for thinking of everything.

Yesterday we went up Big Cottonwood canyon and hiked to Donut Falls.  We loved it!  It was so cool to see a waterfall like this and to go into the cave.  We hiked a little higher up and found a clearing and roasted some hot dogs for dinner.  I think this will be our go to place now to take out of town people, because it is a pretty easy/short hike and the views are spectacular.
