Borrego Springs and Julian

California has had a ton of rain this winter!  So much so, that there are wild flowers bursting everywhere, especially in the desert where they have had a "super bloom".  The ranger told us they haven't had flowers like this in 15 years.

Funny enough, I don't have any of the flower pictures on my phone, but I do have pictures of these sculptures that were all around.

On the way home we stopped in Julian to try the "world famous" pie.  We both agreed it was meh.  Nothing special, but my brownie sundae was AMAZING!

This last picture is a gorgeous shot of the sunset while we were on Sunday drive.  It was so beautiful that people clapped when it was over.
